Getting married in Yavapai County? Congratulations! Before you say “I do,” you’ll need a marriage license. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to make the process smooth and stress-free. Step 1: Visit the Clerk of the Superior Court - Marriage licenses in Yavapai County are issued by the Clerk of the Superior Court. Offices are located in Prescott and Camp Verde, so you can choose the one that’s closest. Step 2: Both Partners Must Be Present - You and your future spouse must appear together in person. Bring valid government-issued photo IDs (driver’s license, passport, etc.). Step 3: Complete the Application - The clerk will provide a marriage license application. It’s straightforward: basic details like names, ages, and places of birth. Step 4: Pay the Fee - The marriage license fee is currently $83 (cash, money order, or credit card accepted). Fees may change, so check the Yavapai County Clerk’s website for the latest. Step 5: Receive Your License - Once approved, you’ll get your marriage license right away. No waiting period — you can marry the same day if you’d like! Step 6: Have an Officiant Perform the Ceremony - Arizona requires a licensed officiant to perform the ceremony and sign your license.
